We had a great experience with Go Carnaval Rio! We purchased Carnaval tickets on the website and picked them up in the office in Rio. Lorenzo was very communicative, helpful and friendly throughout the whole process. He also gave us great tips for enjoying Carnaval week in Rio. Lorenzo at Go Carnaval Rio was amazing! He helped us when we purchased font frisa box tickets for the Carnaval Parade of Champions in the Rio Sambadrome. He’s fluent in English, very responsive and goes out of his way to help you throughout the buying process, picking up tickets and booking transportation to/from the Sambadrome if you want transportation. Lorenzo is very honest and reliable. When we lost our credit cards, he even paid for the Sambadrome transportation up front and we reimbursed him later at the office. The bus unfortunately got us to the parade late and we missed most of the first schools parade but this was the bus company’s fault not Lorenzo and there was an earlier bus we could have taken. We still got to see the majority of the parade. My recommendations are 1) everyone go to see the Parade of Champions at least once in their life as it’s the best thing I’ve ever seen and purchase the best seats you can afford as the closer seats are well worth it. I’ve been to the parade twice now. 2) sleep the day of the parade so you can stay up through 6am to watch the entire parade 3) purchase your tickets through Lorenzo/Go Carnaval Rio as they are extremely reliable and helpful. 4) I’m not sure if I would recommend the private bus company. While the bus was comfortable, safe, air conditioned and dropped you off right outside the parade gates, it was fairly expensive and took a long time given all the passengers. You might want to consider/research other transport options. First time I went to the parade, I took taxis but I struggled to find a taxi home as everyone is trying to get home at the same time.
